The Blue River Water District Board has scheduled a special board meeting to discuss current district operations and board vacancies. If a quorum (three members) is present, the board may take action on district matters. If a quorum is not present, the meeting will continue as an informational community session. During that session, the remaining board members will:

1. Provide updates on district operations.

2. Explain the current board vacancies, and

3. Outline plans to file a formal resolution with the Lane County Board of Commissioners requesting appointment of new members, pursuant to ORS 198.320 ORS 198.320(1):
“If the number of members of the governing body of a district is reduced below a quorum, the remaining members of the governing body shall immediately notify the county board of the county in which the district, or the greater portion thereof, is located. The county board shall then appoint a sufficient number of qualified persons to fill vacancies and restore a quorum.”

4. Meet informally with interested community members to discuss vacancies and collect applications for future appointment consideration.

This informational meeting is open to the public. Community participation and questions are welcome and encouraged.
